Now it's gettin' rich.

If this does go over and Weber indeed does bring back historical colors for limited release.....even this curmudgeon would purchase a Chinese Taco Glen Blue.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

Checked my local dealer in Tampa, and they indeed are taking the Pre-Order for delivery in October (as per them).
Looking for Colored 18 MBH

Has anyone noticed the original link no longer works.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm thinking this is a big hoax or April Fool's joke.  I just spoke to a dealer in my area and he had no clue what I was talking about and tried to find out info on it and was unable to find anything.
Looking for Blue Mastertouch or Blue Performer.

Currently have: Performer (Green); 22.5 Mastertouch (Red); 26.75 OTG;  22.5 WSM; 18.5 WSM; Jumbo Joe; SJS (Green Uline); SJG (used for Mini WSM); Blue SS Performer; Blue MBH; Summit

It's because they took it down.
The information was embargoed and they leaked it.

Now we only have the saved version and the results of an adult game of Chinese Whispers

It's now discontinued but they called it Blue Wave. Close to the original 60's Glen Blue but a few shades off. Not as classy as the original color.

Maybe that's what the original was, and they all faded over the last 50 years.

In 2012 they released Wedgewood Blue. My Instagram buddy BBQ Mange has one and I drool every time I see it. I think this is the Blue you're referring to.

My guess is that Weber is responding to our relentless call for colors other than Green Crimson and Copper.

And this is probably obvious that  sales of this unit will determine if they offer more in the future.

Uncle Al

What would be the best way to locate a local dealer that is taking pre-orders?

Isn't it pretty to think so? They didn't all fade the same way over fifty years. Yeah, and at least I haven't.

My thing about it being made in China doesn't stem from a "buy American" theme. It's about the cadmium.

Are you concerned about cooking on one of these for health reasons?  @charred

Not really. I have reds that I cook on. But, they're old. They're not a new product, that I personally am funding, which requires cadmium. I wonder about the manufacturing facility and how safe the process will be for the workers. Besides, I'm more interested in old kettles.
Your old product has cadmium as well. That's what gave it that nice red colour.

@Darko No shit Sherlock.  :)

But they're already manufactured. No new use of cadmium was necessary.
What amount of cadmium is used in these grills is minor.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

I find this thread humorous and fun

Give em what they've been begging for relentlessly and then listen to them complain, LOL.
