I made this just to have a gasser for quick cooks.  The original plan for the GGA was to restore it, but after I broke down all the components and bought the hardware, I decided to have a little fun.

Have you cooked on it yet?  Did it get hot enough?

I had this concern before starting, so I measured the vertical height from the burner tube to the cooking grate in the GGA (3") and applied the same dimensions in the kettle.  I don't anticipate any issues with direct cooking, which is all I intend to do with this.
