I found this.  Maybe helpful

Thanks for the link but that's not quite what i'm looking for. My question wasn't clear so let me elaborate.

I'm looking to get an aftermarket dial thermometer for this larger bezel:

that fits with the oem diameter and height. I was hoping to find recommendations on thermometer upgrades that will fit.

Just curious, did your weber therm break or malfunction?

Probably has the same problem as mine. Way off on temperature. Like 80 degrees off.

Is it just the wsm therms. I just ordered therms for kettles from ereplacement.

I searched one time. Didn't come up with anything. My maverick does good enough for now, if there is a better option I would definitely switch it out.

I'm adding the thermometer/bezel to other cookers and wanted to see what my options were. I guess I guess I could also go out there and measure it but I'm feeling lazy.

I've tested numerous weber lid therms in boiling water, every one of them have been spot on. The problem with them is the location of the therm on the grill (lid temps are often quite different than cooking grate temps) and also the time it takes for them to reach accurate readings. On my WSM I've seen differences between my digital and the dome therm of 50 degrees or more. That's usually after opening the lid or just starting out. After awhile they'll get closer to the same readings. I trust that the weber therms are accurate but it's hard to know when they are dialed in, so I tend to rely on the Thermoworks when smoking.

I do not get worked up about accurate temps. I shoot for a general range and that's about it. To me the lid therm is nice so I can take an occasional glance and get a good idea if it's way too hot or if the fire is going out. For that purpose I think a lid thermometer is very handy and all that I personally need for monitoring pit temps.

I've got a couple weber lid therms coming so that's nice to know that they work @1ROW

I've been able to score a few Summit and newer Genesis lids off craigslist with the sole intention of repurposing the bezels (handles and Weber badge plates as well). The bezels I got were all compatible with the 22" WSM's.

Had a few WSM thermos replaced under warranty due to condensation under the glass and paid out of pocket on some others. I will never do that again.

What wasn't Guru'd - I knew how far off the thermos were and cooked accordingly. I plan on selling my WSM's and will let the next person worry about them.

Lawrence- @pbe gummi bear I'm sure that here are some 22" WSM thermo mods out there, but the ones that I am clear on are the OTG/Master-Touch with the smaller diameter smooth bezels that readily accept the Tel-Tru BBQ 101 thermos.

I've applied a couple of the WSM/Summit bezels/thermos on a 26" kettle and a Drum Smoker lid and the people that have them now prefer the 101 sized bezel
I cook on: Backwoods Gater, Lang 36, Hunsaker Smokers, Pellet Pro 22" WSM, BGE's, WSM's, Cajun Bandits, PK Grills, Drum Smokers, Genesis Silver C, Weber Q's, Cookshack 008, Little Chief, La Caja China #2, Lodge Sportsman...oh yeah! Weber Kettles! Kamado restoration and pit modification hack!
