Hey fellow members! Came up on Weber fire pit. It has wooden handles that say Weber. It's has johnny walker on lid. Anyone seen of theses pits? Is it a true Weber? Any info would be great.

I don't have a johnny Walker fire pit but I do have a regular Weber fire pit that I bought new and the middle section on mine does not have the expanded metal welded to the middle section. I think my lid and legs look like yours.

Cool. I have a "regular' Weber FP, and don't have the expanded metal either. However, a friend bought a used one recently with it. Logo fire pits....more stuff to collect.

Excellent pick up,
@Speedster
. Looks like a genuine Weber FP, to me. That's a steal of a price, too! I wouldn't be surprised if someone added the expanded metal themselves.

@Speedster
nice pickup. Here's mine in action the night of the supermoon. A little newer model with no expanded metal or grate and white Weber logo handles. I picked mine up for $20 too

Awesome. Good to know. I'm tossing the grill grate I'm sure it's not suppose to be there. These model pits are no longer available and no new parts available as per Weber CS. Great addition.
@scott zee
does the bottom piece have a center hole for ashes to be dumped into dish? Mine has no hole. It seems that the bottom dish is for heat transfer back into pit rather than going to floor.

I would keep the grate. Giving the logs a bit of elevation and allowing ash to drop through is a good thing. A charcoal grate works well - sits lower.

No ash-hole on mine, either...

The "ash pan" is really a radiant heat reflector. A safety feature so the people who put the firepit on a wooden deck don't flambe themselves.

it came with a charcoal grate and a cooking grate. I'll for sure utilize the charcoal grate thanks 56mpg!
@erich thanks for insight. Mine doesn't have a heat reflector. It's an early model perhaps. It has the wooden Weber handles

I'd keep that expanded metal on there. Unless you can't stand looking at it. Mine is on concrete so I don't care if embers pop out but it would be nice to have if I were on a deck or something. Awesome buy at $20.
