This Weekends Scores
« on: May 09, 2016, 10:00:36 AM »
Sometime the Weber gods are smiling down on you. I scored three vintage accessories at three different estate sales on Friday and Saturday.
#1 Corn n Tater Ring new with original cardboard insert.

#2 Pre Weber? Sidekick. Made by Colonial Kitchen from Wisconsin. Nearly identical to the Weber Sidekick. New in box. Were these made before the Weber version? Did Weber sue or buy them out?

#3 Late 60s Kettle Cover (BC47). Brand new in original packaging. How cool is that?

Close-up of insert.

There is stuff out there, you never know.
Thanks for looking.

Awesome scores!!!  Bet you were just waiting for someone to ask "How was your weekend?"
Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

I don't think I would open the cover. May not be worth much to others, but that is neat. Congrats man!

Sweet stuff, there. What I heard is that back in the day, each new Chicago suburban homeowner got complimentary accessories like that with each home purchase. ;)
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Awesome finds, especially the cover!
Only way I could image using a cover was if it was vintage like that.

Colonial Kitchen made side tables for both Weber and Happy Cooker it was a private label situation . Colonial Kitchen also released the side tables under their own label so you'll find that all 3 tables are identical and the packaging very similar.
