Hi all, I haven't posted anything to the site before but thought I'd share a few pics of my latest find. Pretty sure it's a 68' avocado Mediterranean, a rare find for New Zealand as weber only started selling here in about 92'. It was a little worse for wear due to our climate but with a bit of RRR it was back cooking like only a weber can. Love the website, keep up the good work fellas.

Awesome find! I just found a 22 inch Mediterranean from the same era, but at least yours came with all the original parts.
Welcome to club, now fire that thing up and post some pics!

Thanks for joining the fun @Kiwigriller love the kettle, especially the as-found shot. I took the liberty of doing a quick clean up on that photo as I thought it was so cool. Hope you don't mind. These old grills are often overlooked, but a lot of us think the character of an old well-used grill is awesome. Kudos to you for bringing it back into service!

Welcome and what a first post!
Incredible find, so is there a back story on the grill and how it made its way to NZ ?
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Wanted: 18" Platinum any color will work
This is my Kettle there are many like it but this one is mine......

Welcome!  Some damn fine work there.  That Cado has some interesting, almost beautiful, rashes on it, gives it a lot more character.

So much character. That's a fantastic looking grill, and bound to always be a conversation piece. Welcome.
"Of course, when I talk about how much it costs to RRR the old Weber, I don't count the new cover and the upgrade grill grate, right? They were added after the first use, so they don't count.
Now I need a red one."

Great first post with a beautiful kettle.
