So no more than a week after the great kettle discovery I was checking my usual searches on CL... nothing... then I clicked the check nearby cities and selected a few more that were outside of my normal driving range. Sure enough an ad catches my eye in Wenatchee - the title reads "Accessories to use w/a Weber Kettle". No pictures so that was a bummer but as soon as I opened the ad my jaw almost hit the floor... could it all be vintage??

"A 6" grill height extender; one 24" wok with ladle and spatula; one 22" flat cast iron griddle, one vegetable rack, one rib rack, one corn-on-the-con rack; a shish kabob set." $85 :o

The ad was already 4 or 5 days old so I figured it was a long shot but emailed the seller and hoped for the best... sure enough a really friendly fellow emailed me back, and then we spoke over the phone to confirm exactly what he had. He was the original purchaser and was kind enough to agree to hold the items for me for a few days until I could get down there. Wenatchee is 4 hours away so this was no quick trip, but I left real early Thursday morning and arrived about 10:30am, then turned around and was home for 3:00 ;D On the drive down I had decided I wanted to tell the seller that his items were worth more than what he was asking and gave him $125 - still a steal gas and all, and he was genuinely appreciative of the little bit of extra dough.

Crazy? Yes. Worth it? Hell Yes.  8)

And here is the " 6" grill height extender " ;)

I really can't wait to use the wok and griddle!! The other items are duplicates so they will more than likely show up in the member sales and trades sections soon if anyone is interested.

Cheers for looking!
