Spotted an H model kettle in a customers backyard today. Said he picked up years ago at a second hand store for about $15. Naturally I told him I was interested but he still loves to cook on it. Based on the wasps that flew out of it I don't think he likes to cook as much as me. It did however get me to thinking about how many second hand stores we have around here though. Hmmmmm!

Buy a new OTS either on sale at Target or..... get a OTG off of CL and offer to trade him!

I'd probably go with the used OTG from CL.  Show up with a brand new grill still in the box and say "straight up trade" he might start to realize he's got something.
