WOO

Huge thanks to @Jason for tipping me off AND picking this up for me.

Props to @Craig for donating wheels, triangle, and ash pan (which I failed to put on for these pics)
@zavod44 for the sweet birds eye (or curly?) maple handle
and @SixZeroFour for cleaning and restoration tips. The razor scraper and fine emery paper are now my absolute favorite things in my garage.

Troy

There's some sort of white overspray on the lid still. I scraped most off with a razor, but it's hard to see without the right light.
If you click the pics and zoom in you can clearly see the white droplets. steel wool doesn't touch them, but the razor takes them right off.

Craig

Congrats Troy! That is one bitchin' score right there! Glad I could help you get her back together!

Troy

Yeah when Jason picked this thing up, the wheels were freaking BOLTED onto the legs. There was no triangle and no ash pan.

There's 2 quarter sized chips in the bowl, and one smaller pinky-tip sized chip. There's also a weird little dent, but no damage on that.

The charcoal grate tabs on the inside are bent all the way down. I'm not sure how that happened.

Craig

Needle nose pliers and some extra carefulness will bend them back into shape.

Troy

yep. I had to do that on my red 26 too.

I'm doing 3rd round of vortex testing tomorrow, planning on using the green. Hopefully high concentrated heat on the lid doesn't make bad things happen.

SixZeroFour

Holy crap do I want to be in your "cool guy" club 8)

Such an awesome score and the handle choice was perfecto!

I realize that if I ever land an mbh dark green, I will have acquired my greens in order of appearance from Weber. I got my Cado first then more recently my Lime. So naturally, dark green is next...

Wanted: 18" Platinum any color will work
This is my Kettle there are many like it but this one is mine......

Saugust

THAT is a green that I can love. Wow! What a score. Why so few around? Very limited production run or small window when they were sold or both?
Growing family = growing kettles!

LightningBoldtz

That is amazing congrats on that score.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.
