Almost...needs a therm still

I needed to get going on this project. This baby will be my new workhorse and I've been putting off the bucket mod for cleaning...well eff it I want to cook. I'll clean another day...alas cooking will unveil next weekend with something special.

I made a few adjustments after this picture to round the ring better. Love this beauty!

I think that's pretty. Adding a lid therm would kick it in. Ever drilled into a Kettle James? I think Buckie may have some advice if not.

Advice on that one in particular is DO NOT drill......it's way too nice & the benefit of a lid therm does not outweigh the purity of a near perfect Brownie !!!!

Use some kind of 732 rig thru the vent or under the lid with the wires.......

If you absolutely must, we'll get you lined up, but geez, that's a sharp kettle !!!!

That is a beauty, for sure!  Please do not drill into it.

BTW, I like that growler collection.

I agree with Mr Buckie  ...

My motto is: "If she's so purddy that she don't need no surgery, then save the money and buy her a nice .......".

With a Slide_A_whatever cover holder and a 6ft long Maverick probe wire you could go through the top vent and easily work around the "probe-wire through the lid -- cover off" problem.  In fact, you could hang your Maverick right on the Utility rack and maybe the standard 3ft wire would do???
