My 1st Redhead
« on: January 09, 2015, 09:38:08 AM »
Hi everyone. I'm a newby to the page and just scored my 1st redhead off of Craigslist. http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/for/4838443704.html      I'm picking it up on Sunday and will post more pics when I get home. I'm hoping it's in as nice of shape as it seems. Seller says he's always stored it indoors and has been in storage for awhile.    ::)

Congratulations and welcome to the Forum.  That looks like a nice grill even though the picture is a little blurry.  Post up better pictures when you pick it up (and fingers crossed that you don't have a craigslist flake-I always get nervous pre-pickup)  I've got a red headed gasser, an 18, and a couple others that need to be cleaned up and assembled.  They're classic Weber/Americana and awesome looking (and wait until you see the color change)

That looks really nice, I hope he is a man of integrity and doesn't sell it to someone else.  When I want to buy something, I go and get it
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Nice looking grill, hope you get it.  One thing many of us have learned on here, don't post it till you got it!  Lots of trolls looking to snatch that grill out from under you.  Especially with a decent price on it.

Seen it this morning, glad you got it. Check the date code on the vent for the age. Some time in the 80's?

I'm not to worried about not getting it. He has it in storage abput 20 miles from his house. Sunday was the earliest I could get it. Believe me, I tried for today...LOL
