So how many would pass on this grill?
« on: November 03, 2014, 09:12:35 PM »
I would say many? :o We all comb the ads looking for a score. I looked past the black kettle an had seen much more...

I see nice handles, great looking leg kit. I did not screen grab the other picture... It was the grate with chrome around the edges still. I could tell it was the old style thick grate. So I see parts that cost more than $20. I'm thinking it has to be a single letter vent code, send the message "I will purchase."(Like I need another grill) Arrangements made, picked it up tonight. Remember to look beyond a "The New Red" sometimes...

I came home with more than I expected. White Elephant gift for Christmas...NIB.

A very lightly used "C" code, with nice handles..."The one The only"

But there is more?

And a bonus...

Sometimes, just cross your fingers and just say "I will purchase".

This below was Saturday, just stopped in a thrift store, not something I do on a regular basis. But now I will try more often, as winter sets in. $2.50... Deals are out there still, be patient, gift, find deals for others and Karma does make an appearance.

You sir are my Karma mentor and I thank you. Wasn't expecting the extra's. When the garage door lifted, my eyes went to the charcoal bin. First I have seen with real eyes. Tomorrow I have to take a closure look at the instruction manual.

So how many would pass on this grill?

Not me.  I will grab any kettle, so long as the price is right ... Even black ones. Great for parts.

Awesome score, Greg! :) :)

Hey Greg,  since this C code has the single screw handles, are the bowl vents just C code or is there an added "D" to them? Ive also got an '81 but its got all double rivet handles...
