I still think of the special cat's eye marbles from when I was a kid when I see this color. Easily one of the coolest colors Weber ever produced... someday!

I love the fades of these old kettles and really wish Weber would start them up again. 


Of course my preference would be (top to bottom) red, fading to white, fading to blue.

the water came from washing it.
and it was actually a mix of very hard packed dirt and concrete slab.
there weren't a lot of options really, we pulled it from a barn and it had a half inch of dust and dirt all over it.

you have to imagine that the farmer was likely pissed off when the only color they had left in stock was pink. 

so much so he shoved it in the barn and forgot about it.

it's a beauty though.  like a hawt mud wrestler.

He was an older guy and the grill had belonged to his brother who had passed away a few decades ago.
The grill, despite being burried in a barn, was one of the few mementos he had of his brother.

I had to promise, over, and over, and over again that I was not obtaining it to profit from it.
I assured him it would be cleaned and restored and cherished.

Then I sold it to Brian for max profits.

Here are a few pictures of the utility pan before I cleaned it with electrolysis. You will notice it has a round edge.
