FrankenKettle? One touch gold kettle fit on performer frame?

Hey guys, does anyone know if the kettle from a one-touch gold will fit on a performer frame? 

I have a black performer I bought from CL, but the dome is rusting pretty good around the handle welds.  I just found a 22.5" one touch gold on CL that I'm going to pick up.  I do like the table on the performer, so was thinking about trying to pull kettle section from the OTG and mounting it on the performer frame.

Is this possible?  Does anyone know if the kettles are interchangeable?

The lid will fit, but the OTG does not have the welded tabs to mount to the table.

If you're serious about it, it can be done.. Cut the brackets off the Performer bowl.
Cut the handles off the OTG. Drill holes for the brackets and the lid bale. Use SS hardware.
Drop it in and you're golden!
