Like many others here I am a big fan of the Performer so I figured why not start a photo thread. Feel free to post up a shot of your setup...

Last week I got lucky and snagged this wonderful EZ Blue. It was really dirty and the ash sweep was toast but has come back to life with a vengeance thanks to a deep clean and a few new parts. I think she looks great next to to her C&B swapped twin! Now I just need a black ash catcher for the blue to finish things off!

Think there is any chance of convincing my wife to let me track down a red as well??  ;)  I won't push my luck just yet...

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

Those are really awesome looking Performers!

I see that you put a new 7444 One Touch Cleaning System on the blue one. I also notice that it still has the old style ash catcher on it.  How were you able to make these two work together?  I was under the impression that only the 7409 One Touch would work with that ash catcher.   Did you have to do any modifications to make it work?

I had pre-purchased the kit thinking it was going to fit but quickly realized my mistake. Hoping to make it work I tried not using the large bottom washer and instead used the similar thickness cross bar of the old ring support to make up the difference. It's not perfect as the metal slider handle does not twist and snap/lock into place like it normally would against the washer. It still slides side to side and sweeps the ash just fine but the handle can be twisted/spun as its not "locked". Sorry I hope that makes sense... otherwise it went together ok and seems to work fine. I will do it again on future restores if originals are not available.

Neither have I and that is fantastic! Sort of like a steel-grey type color? That's awesome!

Yeah it's one of those M/N code Grey kettles. Legend has it that it was owned by the Stephens family but that claim has not been verified.

pic from last summer, when I picked both of these up one weekend

The sage green is my dad's '05. The red SS is my '92.
