I recently picked up a red kettle that has a vent code stamped with the letter L from 1989. The L is stamped upside down. Does anyone know if this has any special significance or if it makes it rare somehow? Just curious...
This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

I think they manufactured the vents, then hand-stamped the codes onto them, per year.......
Some of the ones I have look deeper than others, or at a slight angle......
I also have a sideways "K"

My '88 Joe black is a sideways "K" also!
