Does anyone know how to tell the age of a Weber gas fire pit? Does anyone know the years they were produced? Thanks.
This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

I think they were produced around 2005-2007, not positive. It was not for many years. The one I have has a serial # on a sticker on the side. Maybe calling weber customer service with tag # can result in an answer of the year made.

Thanks Terry. I bought one tonight. It is practically like brand new. This thing works great. Push a button just like a gas grill and "instant campfire"  ...and when your done, you don't go inside smelling like smoke. I don't know why Weber disco'ed these?

Probably because they retailed around $550 Bob! I got mine really cheap otherwise I wouldn't have dropped tht kind of cash on a fire pit.

I'm going to keep my eyes open for one of those.  Maybe I can get lucky and find one for cheap.  My grand daughter would love to sit around something like that in the evenings.

You just missed one on the Lancaster craigslist last week.  It sold for $125.  I thought about calling on it, but I have too many Weber related things going on right now and don't have a proper patio to use it on yet.

Oh, I didn't realize they cost that much new? Now I know why they discontinued them.

They're popping up all over!  I just bought one last week too!  I'll probably pressure wash it when the weather gets a little nicer, but even though it was stored in a barn for years, it started the first time I pressed the button and overall appears to be in really good shape.  I was sure I was going to have to clean some spiderwebs out of the burner tube or something.  The price had to be why they were cut-according to this press release I found, the original retail was $649!!!!  The guy I bought mine from said he thought he paid $350 for the floor model a few years ago, so that must have sat around for a few years.  I only paid $50 (plus 2 hours of travel).

PALATINE, Ill., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Nothing creates a beautiful
setting for a cozy indoor gathering like the glow of a fireplace. Now, with
the growing popularity of outdoor rooms, more people are choosing to create
a stylish fireplace setting outside in addition to their indoor hearth
area.
Weber-Stephen Products Co. combines all the ambience of a roaring fire
with the convenience of gas with its Weber Flame outdoor gas fireplace. In
stores now, the Weber Flame includes lava rock and eight movable
fiber/ceramic logs to provide a beautiful, natural looking flame that
completely eliminates flying embers from real firewood that could be
dangerous to a deck or patio. The fireplace features a heavy-duty base, two
all-weather crack-proof wheels for easy movement, and a push button ignitor
that lights the fireplace as effortlessly as a Weber(R) grill. In addition,
three removable weather shields keep it protected from the elements when
not in use. LP tank and natural gas line models are available. While being
the best-value outdoor fireplace on the market by combining style,
elegance, safety, and convenience, the Weber Flame sells for an attractive
price of only $649.00 (MSRP).
"People are looking for products such as the Weber Flame to make their
outdoor rooms and entertaining areas as beautiful and inviting as
possible," said Brooke Jones, Weber brand manager. "And with a rapidly
increasing number of people entertaining outdoors year-round, the fireplace
is not just a stylish accessory, it's truly the second 'must' for the
outdoor room, right behind the grill."
