... pichana on an EZ code CGA with roti and riser... pic heavy
« on: February 26, 2019, 07:12:37 PM »
... ok so I have been lurking on The Australian fb WKC pages for a while now. Watching them cook on charcoal go anywhere with risers and rotisseries and dreamed of getting my hands on one... whelp apparently recently onlyfire put out a package deal for under $100 on amazon and there I am ordering. I dug out an EZ code I picked up a few months back for 10 bucks and gave it a bath...
This is setup came packaged extremely well. Everything you need (aside 2 D batteries) very well made all quality stainless. I'm in love. First cook in the books, should of ran it hotter and got the skin crispier and probably trimmed the fat a bit more but damm I'm gonna have fun with this thing.
*added a few other recent cooks as I've been bad about posting

You finally got your toys.  What a great collection of cooks.
On the picanha, the mushrooms on the pan probably prevented the temperature from getting high enough.  I usually get better results by cooking  it direct.  Get the charcoal in the middle raging hot and without the rotisserie riser, sear the meat for about 2-4 minutes by manually rotating  the spit.  Place the  spit back on the riser and finish cooking with the lid cracked open.
