9lb Butt on the Rotisserie Now
« on: August 12, 2013, 03:55:42 PM »

Looking good, 2 hrs in.  Rubbed with Famous Daves (Sorry I like that stuff LOL), Kettle maintaining 300-320 for the last 2 hours, Minon Method banked on 2 sides with 5 chunks of peach.  Should be ready in about an hour.  Cooking to 165.  Rest and slice.

Great looking cook! Only three hours? It took me five yesterday for Pepper Stout Beef. I was a little lower on the cooking temp though,

Greg,

When I do sliced pork I go Hot n Fast but on the rotisserie it cook even faster.  When I just smoke it offset to slice it's usually about 5 hours.  Rotisserie is faster go figure.  Thanks for checking it out.

That looks great.  I have never done a butt for sliced pork.

Did you you truss it with twine?

How is the tenderness ?
