Vacation ribs
« on: August 08, 2013, 11:21:14 AM »
My daughter and granddaughter came in for a visit so I took some vacation time. Perfect weather today in MI and she had seen the last couple ribs I have done so....

Doing it exactly like before. The only problem is I need a bigger grill or done rib racks. When my SIL comes with them I will have to double the ribs.

One hour in. The Weber is on the front porch. Grand baby and I are on the back porch. Every so often the breeze wraps around the house and gives a wonderful whiff of ribs and apple smoke.

What a wonderful way to spend a summer day

4 hours in. The inner rack is just starting to smile a bit. The outer rack was not. I decided to tent them both but not braise them. Going to throw some fresh corn and potatoes on soon. Will compliment the meal with fresh tomatoes. For desert homemade Good Eats ice cream and homemade chocolate syrup.
