A little Mountaineer food porn
« on: August 05, 2013, 03:43:05 PM »
Since the wife is sunning herself on the beaches of Florida enjoying fresh seafood and run runners I decided to treat myself and my girls to some kettle pizza. Since I am just awful at making dough I used the store bought bagged mixed and added some garlic, onion, oregano, and parsley to the mix. The girls wouldn't let theirs sit long enough for a photo shoot so here is mine hitting the grill

And about 7 minutes later I got to unveil my latest onion & tomato pizza!

Ah yeah! That is some damn good eatin right there!

Sweet I like the bricks around the perimeter. We done a Papa Murphy's take and bake last night on the grill using a pizza stone charcoal baskets also with charcoal scattered around the edge of the charcoal grate and an elevated grate for stone to sit on came out very good and will be doing this again soon. Will use more wood next time to. I am not good with dough so will be doing the take and bakes till i get the cook time and temp down then will try my hand at tossing the dough out. Hope when I do mine comes out this good looking!!! ;)
Looking for--- a yellow mbh any size, sequoia ( I know I am dreaming), avocado any size, brownie any size.

Nicely done!! Pie looks great! Do the side bricks radiate heat?

I haven't seen that setup yet, makes total sense though! Great looking pizza!

Yes it does. The last few times my crust was slightly underdone on the edges so I thought I would give this setup a shot. Pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. Just rotated about halfway through the cook

Very nicely done. I also do the turn halfway through. I want to say your wife missed out, but it's hard to say. Florida does sound like it would be a nice place to be sunning on the beach right now. 8)
