Bones!

That's what my Dad call them and I made these for him. It's been a while since he's had some good ones. These were really nice too. I cooked them over red oak. That five ears of drip corn down in the bottom. I find that the oil from the meat drippings on them adds extra flavor even though they are wrapped. I am going to leave them down there unwrapped next time.

Here they are rubbed down.


On Mater the old brown 26'r.

Plated, salad and G bread not pictured, but were present as usual. Dad loved them. :)

Good beef bones are so hard to source nowadays, those look outstanding. Great cook.

Thanks for all the great replies. I did some chicken breasts on the blue last night and used the elevated half grill. This is really a great way to go. The flames just lick the food without scorching the outside. I have a tri tip planned this way.

I picked up two racks of Dino bones yesterday. Can't wait put some smoke on them!
