Early model hotplate
« on: September 28, 2014, 11:55:10 PM »
Hi all,

I picked this up today with the intention of using it as a breakfast plate however my initial concerns are it maybe made of aluminium as opposed to cast iron or stainless steel. Can anyone confirm? It is made in 1992.
Many thanks

Jas.

Legend thanks mate. My concern is aluminium's link with alzheimers. There was research done a few years back which told people to stop using aluminium cookware, particularly when scraping it with stainless steel utensils like a scraper or knives when cutting as the small particles which come off can be ingested.
