Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
« on: July 20, 2013, 05:40:32 PM »
I've followed this recipe a handful of times, and it is rock-solid.  Turns out great every time, regardless of variances in temps.  The recipe says it's only for gas grills, but I think we all know better.  ;-)  And maybe the best thing about the recipe is that it's an iron-clad reason to buy a 12" cast iron pan if you don't already have one.

Almost done:

...that's the way we like it.

Flipped.

Finished.

I may have to run out and buy another cast iron pan just because of your cake! ;D I already have so much cast iron my kitchen is leaning on the side where I store my pans. "Hi, my name is Jeff, And I have a problem....." Doh! Nice looking cake.
If it needs to be Heated to be Eated, I can do it on my Weber!
