Coffee Roast on my GB 22 Kettle
« on: September 15, 2024, 11:17:37 AM »
A Swiss buddy of mine is in the coffee import business and offered some raw coffee beans to me if I could figure out how to roast them.  After some research and a short buying spree, the following was the result.

I used coconut shell briquettes to keep the taste of fuel to a minimum.  It worked wonderfully and the temp controller kept us right at 400F.

We did this cook at my place near Montreux Switzerland.  Montreux is mentioned in a song by the band Deep Purple - fittingly we have named this first batch "Smoke On The Water"
