Original Weber wishing well discovered

So cool!! I gave up on building a copy years ago. Glad there is a real one around.

FINALLY! The one and only 1970 Wishing Well salvaged from Villa Park, Chicago IL is finished. Such a crazy concept from Weber. An awesome buddy Joseph Radings custom fabricated the crank handle for me which was the final piece to this Beauty that made it functional. By functional I mean working, I’m not so sure that it’s practically functional though 🤣

An awesome piece that I’m grateful to have found and I can’t wait to cook on this when I find some time to move it to the deck one weekend 🤣 for now I will enjoy it in the living room. The chain chews through the rattle can paint on the winding rod so I will get that powdercoated black soon for more durability. Hope you guys enjoy seeing how it works.

I’m so nervous about the 55 year of old timber handle holding the weight of the lid [emoji28]
