are the ads terrible? can we get rid of the ads?

I’m using the old app and I have no ads at all. It’s beautiful ! I never thought about it until now but I’ve really enjoyed being on the site and never seeing and ad. So nice to check in and see great posts from members without distractions. I guess the app is no longer available which is a shame.

Agree with @getlego if the app were available again it would be great.  I’m about ready for an iPhone upgrade which will take away my ability to use the app I downloaded over 3 years ago.

I typically only get two ads per visit, unless it doubles and I get duplicate threads (as I scroll down, I go through the same posts in the same order twice).

Everyone hates ads. But there’s also a reason they are there, these things aren’t free.

I would say ads aren’t terrible for me. I’ve seen far FAR worse, where an ad is in every picture posted and those are unusable.

I disabled about half of the ads and removed what I thought were the ones that were too intrusive and disruptive.
