Do you have to drill new holes for the new style lid bail or will it install in the holes for the old style bail. Thanks for any information since I do not want to drill new holes in my kettle.

Should install into the existing holes no problem as far as I know

Yes, the new style will install in the holes for the old style bail. I have upgraded several kettles to the new style lid bail (part #65188).
