More of a hack than a mod

Putting the legs on the new bowl I remembered I needed a new charcoal grate.
I had one from an old 22 kettle lying around, and not wanting to be wasteful (combined with a pinch of not wanting to spend the money on a new one) I thought I'd use it.
Now since the kettle charcoal grate is a good inch and a half smaller than the 22 WSM grate, I used two-inch screws for the bottom leg holes instead of the 5/8 ones that are standard.
That way the grate is held at roughly the same height the WSM one would be, and it isn't just sitting in the bottom of the bowl.
And the charcoal ring fits just right.
Figure this ought to work...till it doesn't at least 😆
