Genesis 8 burner
« on: April 18, 2022, 02:37:25 PM »
Picked up a really nice black Genesis 8 burner a while back, looked good and a grate price. Fire it  up and all on high and hits 100 in like 12 seconds. Will not get over 149 no matter what I do. Full tank of gas, any thoughts from you gasser guys?

It could be the safety on the propane regulator. If you open the valve on the tank too fast, it will kick in. Turn off your tank, open all your valves for the burners, and let the pressure out of the system. Then close them.
Then open the valve on your propane tank slowly and then try to relight in your grill.

Wow, 8 burners? I’ve only worked on 3 burners.  Maybe picture of it running full bore with all flavorizers and grates removed?  I’d try lighting one bar at a time and see where it fails.  Blow out all the cobwebs, etc.

Very nice car, Joe!   It reminds me a lot of the original Lexus LS400.

The Vieluxe had 6 burners and 2 side burners.  So, technically Weber did once have an 8 burner gasser.
