Where to start on this restore?
« on: January 12, 2022, 11:18:51 AM »
I picked up a gas kettle yesterday and have no clue where to start.  I have the base, lid and charcoal grate. Are happy cooker gas kettles compatible?  Photo coming soon.

Can't think of any compatible parts, pretty simple disassembly to clean up. PM me and I can email you a manual to help you out
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

No “guts”. Just the lid, bowl, and charcoal grate.  Is there a 3rd party supplier for parts?

That brings back memories.  My dad had one just like it when I was kid.   Good luck with the restore!

Thanks, it might be a minute or two before it can cook again.  I'm hopefully it will eventually cross the finish line.
