Hello, one and all!!
It's been a while since I have posted here what with heavy involvement in Scouting with my son and many other priorities outside of my Weber hobby taking precedence, it's just been too long since I've been able to be a regular. I miss my Weber friends!
That being said, it is with great pride and great pleasure that I have been authorized to announce to all of you that the WKC 9th Annual Chicago Meetup WILL TAKE PLACE [emoji3] [emoji322][emoji3060]
With Illinois opening 100% and with the bulk of the pandemic winding down (hopefully) it was decided to hold the meetup.
Now... the date for the Meetup has been decided as Saturday, August 7th at member John Currie's house (screename No1Agent)
Thank you, No1Agent for opening up your backyard to us all!
This may seem like short notice to some, but we weren't sure how things would look by August earlier in the year. If you can make it, we'd love to have you join us.
John has a plenty big backyard and room for lots of grills. So please feel free to bring some your collections to show off. (Kettles and accessories of all ages are welcome)
If you haven't been to one of these meetups yet, they are a blast and a sight to see. Nothing but sweet grills, amazing food and outstanding people. An experience to remember. As far as food goes, we typically do not eat a traditional meal at any set time. It's an all day thing. People that elect to cook, will prep and cook their dish(s) at different times throughout the day and people sample. There may be times where there is more food ready than others. Just to give you an idea if you've never been to one of these. I can tell you this, if you leave hungry, it's your own fault! [emoji6]
We look forward to seeing you there!
Saturday, August 7th (All Day Event)
