Finally got a chance to work on my new to me DU code 2002 blue OTP. I was a bit starry eyed when I got it - scooped it up without lookin it over very well, basically listened to the sales pitch and tossed it in the truck. Well, it had a small dent in the lid and a cracked table neither of which I noticed at pick up, but the price was low and I am happy with it. I’ve fixed the table, updated the lid bale, replaced the wheels, cleaned it up and not going to mess with the lid any more. I tried a few light taps and off came some of the porcelain at the lid handle welds. It is interesting to note the darker table and plastic lower horizontal braces on my DH code 2004 twin I restored a few months ago. I didn’t even notice this until today when I was sanding the DU table and applying 303 protectant. These will be awesome for larger bbq parties and family events. I can see both of these pulling duty side by side and I’ll enjoy the extra table space. I think the new wheel hubcaps go well with the lighter gray parts of the cart. Wheels came off my Glen Blue that received retro style wheels when it arrived.
