Does $85 seem like a good price for a used Weber rotisserie ? Looks to be in good condition. On the fence about getting one.

If you want to use it quickly and keep it dirty it's a great price. Make sure they verify the motor works. If not hit em lower and let me know I think I have an extra.

Yes, as long as it has the spit rod, forks, motor and ring.  A new Weber Rotisserie costs $179 (without sales tax).  A rotisserie is my most used accessory.  You just can't duplicate the self basting qualities of food that are cooked on a rotisserie. You won't regret the purchase.

I picked it up today. It's in good shape. The motor works fine.  Has some very minor rust spots on the top rim. What can I put on these to keep them from getting worse? Just regular cooking oil?

Is this rotisserie ment to not be used with the lid of the kettle?

You normally would use the lid. Check out some YouTube videos. The rust is irrelevant.

Roti was the second-best thing I ever bought for mine, right after the smoker stacker.

Looks like I got a dud motor. It spins fine with no weight but as soon as I put a 6lb chicken on it won't rotate.
