Will this work on an entry level 22” kettle?

Or, maybe this one?

I prefer the slide-aside (pictured) for a lid bale on 18 and non mastertouch 22s.  Works great and no drilling needed.

I already have two holes in the bowl, as it held a wire bracket to support the lid.
What are the dimensions of the Weber lid bail, with the distance between the ends?

This reminded me I wanted one of these. Called Weber directly and have mine on the way after about three minutes on the phone. $35.57

Just did the upgrade on both my 2018 Classic, and my 1979 Cooker. The Classic has all of the upgrades now to make it a Master Touch. The lid sits at nearly 90 degrees on the Classic.

I have an 18" OTP that I would love to do this for, but I don't think there's a newer 18" bail I can use.

I recall someone bent a 22” lid bail to fit an 18” bowl, otherwise the slide aside is a good option for your OTP.

I was thinking the slide aside if I had no other choice. Guess I would have to fill the holes...

What I wanna know is where did you get that wooden vent handle? Also, maybe a stupid question, but is this lud bail different than the normal slide aside?

Works great on Mastertouch grills as well.

+1

Question just got a red premium kettle with the lid bail but this one looks like it has way more space for the lid. I’m assuming that I can just replace existing bail with the one mentioned in this thread?

I recently bent one to fit a brand new 18" one touch, and added the ash catcher assembly.

It too some patience and a lot of measuring, but I think it came out pretty good.
