Touch up paint
« on: October 28, 2021, 12:30:21 PM »
Any good suggestions on touch up paint for kettle? Looking to drill hole for probe port (SnS port) and wanted to touch up the drilled edges.

Thanks in advance!

Rust-Oleum 241169A3 High Heat Ultra Spray Paint, 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 3), Black, 3 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MWY8KTS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_7K1DVEXZ59YXTTJQNG6X

Use a q tip to apply.  Alternatively, some vegetable oil will work to keep rust away.  I’d do oil personally.

Yeah i would pass on the paint and use oil imstead. Just make sure to get hole as smooth as possible. Deburr and sand it down to a smooth finish. I usually start with 180 grit and finish it with 300 grit.
