Stainless Prep Area
« on: June 30, 2013, 09:33:07 PM »
My family is building me a prep area in the garage next to the fridge which is next to the door to the Weber collection.

We are considering the following SS table  (30" X 72") with 1 shelf below the table and 2 shelves above.  It has a back splash and wheels.

It is used but looks good.  We have been offered it for $200.00.  Based on my web searchs and CL searches, I think it is priced right.

Thoughts ??

I always thought it would be good to have a SS work area for my grill area.

Price isn't bad. Of course, less is always better    ;D

If you have the room, I say it's a great idea.

That's a good deal most I've seen around Nashville are much higher. That's a commercial kitchen prep table. Solid as a rock and easy to clean up. I love that shelf on it would be perfect for all the items needed for the day.

Thanks for all the input.  Guess I messed around too long.  After offering him 50, 75 then 150, he texted me an said it was sold for 50.00 and a keg of PBR.  I am pissed.

So I picked up some brats, beers and sides to cook for my B-Day dinner.   I pull into the garage and I see the following setup:

My wife called the CL seller and told him to say he had sold it.  She asked if he could deliver it to our house for a little extra $$.  Not a bad deal considering we would have to borrow a trailer and drive about 50 miles each way.

Here's a close up of my surprise B-Day present. They also picked up a few misc items at her favorite resale stores. Most of the items are brand new and unused.

Looking forward to using this for the 4th parties.

BTW, I did not buy that match light.  It was free with one of the Webers. Not sure what I will do with it.

AWESOME. Damn they all totally got you.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
