I just bought a 1200 and am going to break it in this weekend. Did you add a vent to the top of yours?

I have a Q3200, it's great for a gas grill, very fuel efficient.  Trouble I have is I use it so infrequently that the grates rust on me. I also need a new burner I think. Got a few hot spots.

Pretty sure it's a Char-Q, the discontinued charcoal model of the Q grill.  That's why there's a vent control on the lid and on the bottom of the grill.  That and it's rolling smoke.
