22.5" cast iron from 1979 kettle
« on: August 06, 2020, 08:40:43 AM »
Hi All

I'm new to this forum, but not to BBQ, grilling and kettles.  I'm just wondering if any of you have or have seen one of these cast iron plates?  It's such a fun piece that I didn't experiment with as much as I would have liked.

I recently had to part ways with my performer, but I'm hanging on to this piece... I'm not sure if I could ever replace it if I got rid of it

Do you have a picture of the melting domes?  I’ve never seen them before.

Awesome, glad to see other people enjoy them too.  Still in production at all?  harris92's grill looks to be a vintage 70s, similar to the 79 I had.  Wish I kept it!  Now I'm worried to let go of this piece.. hopefully I will have room for a kettle again one day.

Lodge should partner with Weber and rerelease it.
