My first real RRR

I put in some time on this yesterday, I guess I didnt get a b4 pic of the pan. Had to drop down to 100 grit, then I read some stuff about not going below 120-150. I hope I can sand it out, I will try to get a pic between each grit I go through. This thread might take a while to complete, because I really dont wanna mess this one up. Any advice on getting the mirror finish on the damper without sanding off the lettering would be awesome, definitely saving the vent for last

400 grit put a little shine on it, gonna work my way up to this 2500.

I'm gonna see what the rest of the aluminum looks like and maybe do this one again, it's not as mirror as I had hoped. Maybe get the rolite supra 90 Zavod44 had mentioned in a thread
