Cover for 26er
« on: July 28, 2020, 03:18:21 AM »
Searched but didn't come up with much.  Just curious what covers you guys are using for the 26ers.  I've had good luck with Ravenna classic from Amazon on my 22.5's and got one for the 26, but it sits on the ground and seems a little long.  The quality however seems much better than the OEM Weber one.

I like how the medium version fits and sits off the ground.

I have the Weber covers for my 26s and they’re fine.      I’ve looked for other brands but nothing seems to have the right fit.

I love how Harry Soo will say anything about BBQ results in a two hour discussion. I would imagine this covers, covers too....lol
For my grills, I've done two things. One is, because I've seen so many grillfellas on WKC  leaving their 22s out uncovered, my copper mist 22 just goes naked. The other route for me, which is where the OP directed this question, is to cover the 26 with the OEM weber. I spray it though, once or twice a year, with some silicone spray, like for camping, or sneaker protectorant.
The spray makes the weber cover last, and I think it protects a little better.

I’ll probably end up getting the oem cover because if it’s the best. I mainly need my covers for dust/pollen/condensation/cat pee protection.

I have the Ravenna but like you stated it seems a bit longer than it needs to be. For the cost it's the best cover brand I've found though.

Thanks for all the input.  Might just deal with the Ravenna for now.  It's definitely good quality.

Bird shit washes off!  I'm just too old and lazy to use covers. Take cover off, fire up the grill, cook the food, wait 2 hrs till the grill is cool enough to put the cover back on, only to watch it blown off because of the wind.

The latest Weber covers are light weight and withstand the elements. They're great. I cover mine if it's going to be raining a lot or I'm not using that grill soon.

I ordered the standard cover - will see how it does.  I have a 22 just like it and it's held up well for about 3 years.  I wish KingKong made covers for the 26.  I have a few of those and they are far superior IMO.

I bought a few of the cheap grey covers, and they lasted about 4 yrs. I have some of the deluxe blacks that I havent used yet.

I have this one on my 26 and I really like it.  The tan color doesn't seem to fade as quickly as the black ones.  I have the Weber OEM cover on my WSM and it has faded significantly in two or three years.  Tan cover still looks new.
