Hello from North Carolina
« on: July 20, 2020, 05:54:23 AM »
Hi,

New member here from near Raleigh, NC.  I've been barbecuing on gas for forever and enjoy it.  I purchased a 22" kettle several years ago and the enjoyment factor got kicked up a notch.  With the onset of the pandemic, I've been doing more barbecuing and decided that I wanted to begin smoking meat, so I picked up a 22" Weber Smokey Mountain.  Used it once and it worked out great, but I have a lot of questions and a lot to learn.  I am looking forward to interacting with the forum.
Weber Spirit/Weber Kettle 22" Black (AA-2011)/Weber Performer Black/Weber SS Performer Red Mist (EE-1999)/Weber Smokey Mountain 22" Black - 3"casters/unknown bbq hinge/lavalock vent handles (4) - Sold

Welcome from Gainesville, Florida.
Congrats on your new 22" WSM.
I've been smoking on a 18" WSM  for 19 years and nine years on a 22" WSM.  Both units are stock, no mods.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Welcome from just south of Chicago, IL!
I swear, when I score a great deal on a 26" I'll stop buying grills... So often.

Thank you for the warm welcome.  For someone with a bad back, I find that the WSM is cumbersome to move around, so I have already modded it by adding wheels.  Thank you Minne-Florida Liviní on Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I628cYi86VQ&

Hello and welcome from Asheville.

I think we need Troy to design a new WKC shirt and hoodies for the NC members!
