I also enjoy outdoor Dutch oven cooking and when I was just getting started (and quite broke) for my stand to make my ring of coals, I used two cinder blocks turned on their side. The guy at the hardware store, upon learning what I was doing, warned me “they could end up cracking and breaking” and I said for the buck a piece they cost, I’d risk it. That was 10 years ago. I left that set at the house I was renting and bought another set about 7 years later. I still have that set. So rather than risk your patio, I’d recommend a couple cinder blocks.
