Just got an email from SnS Grills about a pre order battleship gray kettle that looks very close to a Weber.

I'm sticking with my Weber

Yes.  There was a somewhat contentious thread about it last month.  The new sns grill has some nice features.

To be clear - it wasn't 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis contentious but more like 1987 Ronald Reagan "tear down this wall" contentious. But definitely contentious.
Wife: Let me guess... you want to grill again

Definitely odd to see this.  SNS has doubtless been very successful in the accessory market and a close relationship with Weber fans.  Why risk alienating the user base?

I can't see where this would actually alienate the Weber crowd, but that's just me. I'm sure they'll make a very nice grill if I use my satisfaction with my SnS as a basis. I'm very happy with that. But as I am not in the market for anymore kettles (well... possibly a 26...) I won't be biting. But hey, I hope they do really well and bring some new innovations to the table.

Looks better than the expert grill kettle! Lol
How much are they? If one pops upon craigslist a few years from now I might bite

Edit: looked at the sns site. Its 279. Stainless cook grate, porcelain coated charcoal grate, and I think I like the "Smoke Hole" lol

So babybackmaniac is working on a video highly detailing the grill. Per his Instagram he's been testing over a week. Just by those pictures it looks like a one touch gold, had a lid bale added between the handles and a BBQ dragon table on the other side. Lol

They should have just called it a Webber, lol
