Patent pending DEMO kettle
« on: April 02, 2020, 02:41:55 PM »
A good friend off mine told me his neighbor has a Weber demo kettle. I went to take a look. There kettle is in poor shape. The front leg socket has rusted off. My question for kettle club members is this kettle worth saving? I've attached a couple pictures.

I think so.... I’m going to be doing some welding on a couple to fix this same issue in the near future and can let you know how it goes. If it’s cheap, I’d say get it and see if you can save it.

You don't even need to weld it...you could probably use fender washers and screws to reattach the socket to the bowl.  If it's available, you should get it.

I would snag that in a New York minute.  Washer and bolt fix it, scrub it down, and cook the snot out of it!
