Super bowl wing cook off.
« on: February 01, 2020, 07:05:50 AM »
The other evening my good friend and I were discussing what to do for the super bowl . We decided to get some friends together and do a wing cook off. This means wings made in cooker of your choice . With a sauce to go with it . I will be using one of my many trusty 22” weber kettles. My buddy cooks everything on his outside oven pellet smoker ( I give him shit all the time . He tells me
Why don’t u go buy another Weber ). Anyway long story short I wanna kick his ass on some wings!! Only thing I may need help with is coming up with a really good sauce for them...

Y’all got any good sauces you make that you would wanna share ?

The possibility are endless here so I figured this would be a good place to ask!!

Mix up some soy, Worcester, maybe some honey, and a touch of habanero.

I prefer hot but most ppl don’t care for it.  So no heat. Store bought or home made is fine either way . Just wanna have something that kinda pops

2/2/2 sauce..... little heat but not too hot.  Mix two tablespoons melted butter, two tablespoons Franks buffalo sauce and two tablespoons worcestershire sauce in tossing bowl.  SPG lightly on the wings, grill till done, toss in sauce.  Good stuff......  Have fun!

Few days late on getting back to the wing cook off. We did a bunch of cooking . Lot of people came over . Didn’t get to see much of the game because we were all out by the grills. But we had a blast . Here are a few picture of all the craziness. No one could give a “ favorite” wing combo but they all got ate fast . I used franks new stingin honey garlic .and a few other things for a glaze . Turned out good . ...
