What's a spider adapter in this context?

ISO: Dark red/crimson mist kettle (cooker condition). 18" preferred, but a 22" would be awesome too.

A pellet adapter for the kettle.  They did a kickstarter last year.

You will have to let us know how it works.  Hopefully it does a decent job given that it probably didn't help them any when the smokefire was announced.

Always like to see third parties be successful even if it isn't something I need or want.

What is the temperature range on this thing?

EDIT 175 TO 500 DEGREES

The price isn't terrible really.  If it could be adapted to a 26er that would be a pretty sweet set up. I mean the closest you could get to a Charcoal temp controlled set up is a Signals/Billows combo and that is in the same price range.

One side note.. This is the first weber I have bought with the (Taco) handle.. made in china.. what
A disappointment. The finish inside the bowl is poor and the edges are rough. Not what I expected from a weber product

What kind of hole do you have to drill? I'm assuming it needs something

Edit, I guess it says no tools or modifications. It must run through an ash sweep hole or something then?

Yep - the flame comes up through the ash sweeper hole.

SO many questions...... where does the ash go from the burned pellets?  What about the remaining two open vent holes, are they sealed with something?  Can you dump the unused pellets through a built in door?  What about replacement parts?  I messaged them two weeks ago with that question and was ignored.  I'd love to have one of these, but want to know it's a long term use item and not just a here it is, there it was product.

Can't wait to see a cook on it!

Thanks

They aren’t made in China that I’m aware of. That was just the LE red that came out awhile ago. The new kettles in the store look fine to me.
