Hit the bad rust spots in the frame with some sandpaper and primer. I hit the full frame with primer, just forgot to get a pic. Final pic after painting at the bottom.

Had to glue down the top of the tank level sticker and hit it when a clear coat.

Before and after.

Other parts either cleaned up or painted. Had to get some parts down to the metal to get rid of the rust.

Removed the wood slats, sanded down half of them and stained so far. Need to pick up more sandpaper and some paint stripper to finish the firebox.

Espresso stain.

Looking good.  That handle looks to still be in great shape.
I have not been so lucky on a few of my restos.

damn impressive, not sure I have the patience, but I have 2 of these to do. I think i'll take them apart and send to you or @Dave in KC to refurb for me LOL
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Yup this looks amazing...I don't have the patience for taking the whole thing apart...too many parts on a gasser!  Great work, I can't wait to see the finished product.

Thank you, Dave! All the wood was in good condition and even after the sanding some of the dirty areas show with the stain, but I don't mind. Just a reminder of the history.

Thank you! This has been one I've put off for some time, but have done enough project on the house that the wife didn't mind I spent the weekend working on this. Dave does awesome work and I wouldn't mind since I have really enjoyed this build. Lol

Really appreciate it! I've had to bag and label everything to make sure it all goes back the way it came apart. Hopefully will have it finished this week.

Put the Weber badge under one of the wife's grow lights to bake a little.

Worked on the grill for a little bit today.  Cleaned up the gauge/temp probe.

Made some more progress on the end caps for the lid. Picked up some paint stripper and it's still a PITA!
