I didn’t, but I recently managed to sell my big green egg of 8 years for 60% of what I paid for it, so I rolled that into this and it helped cool the burn.

I hope you love it as much as I love mine. I have a Big Green Egg and prefer using the Summit. It heats and cools much faster and I love not having to worry about frying a gasket. I do 900° pizzas on my Summit and wouldn't dare to try it on the Egg. Congratulations!!! Keep us posted with your first experiences.

My wife asked me if I wanted a Big Green Egg while at the local Ace Store and I told her it was outdated grill technology cause the Summit is so much better. She told me to shhh because they display them so heavily and she thought it was rude.

I want Summit so badly, but I think it will be on the want list for awhile.  Congrats!
