Hello from Newnan GA SW of Atlanta. Originally from the Denver area.
Growing up my dad always had gas grills and that’s what I used for years. Last year while researching BGE alternatives I stumbled across pellet grills. I picked one up off CL and I’ve loved smoking ever since.
I loved my pellet grill but using it is kind of boring, set it and forget it. Plus grilling on it was a pain. I want to get a kamado style cooker eventually but figured I’d make sure I enjoyed charcoal cooking first. Sold the pellet grill for just about what I paid for it which was just enough to cover a new 22”
Started researching Weber kettle and pulled the trigger. I turn 40 next week and prior to a month ago I had never cooked with charcoal. I always thought the Webers were the cheap grill, man was I wrong. Food that comes of this thing is amazing.
